Montevideo

Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay, is an important city on the Bahía de Montevideo. It is located around the Plaza de la Independencia, where there was once a Spanish citadel. The square connects to the Ciudad Vieja, with art deco buildings, colonial houses and emblematic landmarks such as the towering Palacio Salvo and the neoclassical Solis theater. The old Mercado del Puerto is filled with steak restaurants.

Colonia

Colonia del Sacramento is a city in the southwest of Uruguay, across the Rio de la Plata from Buenos Aires. It is known for its Historic District with cobblestone streets surrounded by buildings dating back to the time when it was a Portuguese settlement. Above the historic district is the 19th century Colonia del Sacramento Lighthouse, with panoramic views of the river. Nearby is the Portón de Campo, which corresponds to the remains of the old city walls.

Its sunsets overlooking the river are magical moments, which give a beautiful view, being able to see the coast of Buenos Aires on the clearest days.
